Jason is a Brain Star (award winner)!

We are very proud to announce that Jason da Silva Castanheira was awarded a prestigious Brain Star award from the Canadian Association for Neuroscience and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health & Addiction).

Jason is a graduate student in the lab, from the Integrated Program in Neuroscience at McGill.

The 2021 Brain Star awards are presented to students and trainees who have published high impact discoveries in all fields and disciplines covered by CIHR’s Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction in the 2021 calendar year.

The top 3 Brain Star Award winners of the year have been invited to make a presentation at the CAN meeting in May.

Jason receives the award for his article published in Nature Communications last year, entitled “Brief segments of neurophysiological activity enable individual differentiation.” The article is available to everyone in open access.
