Lab’s open science contributions recognized by two awards.

We are grateful for receiving two awards from the Tanenbaum Open Science Institute in recognition of our lab’s ongoing efforts towards the development and sharing of neuroscience tools and data with everyone interested.

Emma Lacoume (McGill Neuroscience) has been awarded the Open Science Launchpad Award. Her project aims to significantly expand the volume, diversity, and quality of the Open MEG Archive (OMEGA) by curating new data from over 390 participants. By adhering to best practices in data organization and curation, Emma’s work will enhance the repository's capacity and help facilitate access to relevant research data for scientists around the world.

Lab’s Principal Investigator, Sylvain Baillet, has received the Open Science Leadership Award in recognition of his longstanding dedication to Open Science. His contributions range from the creation of the Open MEG Archives (OMEGA) to the integration of the Brainstorm software app, which has cultivated a thriving community of over 43,000 users worldwide, and the extension of the Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) to electrophysiology data. This work has multiplied the impact of the neuroimaging methods developed in our lab and among our collaborators.
